In a small village community such as Rathvilly, local events and festivities ensure our connectivity. While sport has a big part to play in keeping this connection alive there are also some more unique events that our village celebrates.
Rathvilly’s annual village table quiz in January is always well-attended and supports the local churches. We have also an annual charity tractor run and the Christmas bazaar in December.
From time to time the village hosts a parade for St. Patricks Day but mainly these events take place in the nearby larger towns of Tullow, Baltinglass and Carlow.
Carlow has established a number of notable festivals such as Carlow Arts Festival in June, The Garden Trail in the summer and Pan Celtic Festival in the spring.
